My name is John Woodage and I am the KS4 Learning Coordinator. I have been teaching for over 20 years and during this time I have gained experience through working in schools where I have enjoyed a variety of responsibilities. After teaching English as a foreign language for 2 years I spent 16 years in a large state school in north-west London as Head of PE and Head of House. Three years ago I relocated to Dorset and spent my first year at Rossmore Community College as Year 9 Learning Coordinator. I then became Learning Coordinator for Key Stage four, a position which I have now held for 2 years and one which I find particularly rewarding and enjoyable.
We have a skilled and dedicated team within Key Stage four. Our principal aims are to ensure that all of our students in years 10 and 11 enjoy and achieve academic and personal success in order to equip them to be successful as post sixteen students and/or future employees within the world of work.
As we approach the GCSE exams this summer I am optimistic that our year 11 will be achieving excellent results and would like to take this opportunity to wish them every success. |
